WEEK 13 (27TH NOVEMBER 2023 - 1ST DECEMBER 2023)

 

HELLO! HELLO!

Welcome to my week 13! Which means I still have another week to survive from practicum! I am so excited to finish practicum but also sad at the same time because I need to leave these precious kids. I didn’t expect to have such a great time with them! they treated me with love and the class was so fun. I also got a few small gifts from them. I will keep it with me forever.

On 27th November 2023, I entered 3 Gamma and got a biscuit, jelly and keychains. I asked them why they gave me these. They said because they just wanted to with very cute faces. I received their gifts with open heart. Next, on 28th November 2023, Massimo came to our school. Everyone got 3 bread each including teachers and pupils. But, I got 7 breads on that day. Why? I received 4 breads from my pupils. I refused to take it from them but they insisted. I can’t do anything but to receive them because I was in the middle of class. I also got to monitor 6 Alfa class since they were on examination.

On 29th November 2023, I needed to monitor year 5 Alfa for their examination too. in the afternoon, we had a curriculum for handball. They played handball from 12;30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. The weather was not too sunny on that day. So, it wasn’t that hot. Oh, I got hit by a ball on my head on that day. It didn’t hurt that much but I was just filled with embarrassment.

On 30th November 2023, I received a crochet flower from my 5 Sigma pupils. As I already wrote in my past week, they made this crochet by themselves! It was so beautiful! We also took some pictures together for memories. I just can’t believe that I will leave them soon. How fast time flies! They asked me to stay and work there. But hey! Teacher needs to further her studies first. I’m sure if there’s any chance, I would love to teach them again. During this class, we chatted a lot. It was heartbreaking to see them feeling sad. But, trust me, they will get more practicum teachers in the future. But for me, they were the first pupils that I taught with all of my heart. I will forever remember this moment.

Lastly, on 1st December 2023, we had a curriculum day. The girls played netball and the boys played football. I went to see them playing and 5 Sigma won in both competitions! I am so proud of them. Next week, we will be having curriculum day too but they were going to play badminton.

WEEK 3 (18TH SEPTEMBER - 23RD SEPTEMBER)

  HELLO! HELLO! Welcome to my third week of practicum! Huh, almost a month just in the blink of an eye. Many things happened in week 3. Very hectic and busy week for teachers and pupils. Let’s start with 18 th September. On this day, we had a closing ceremony for Independence Month. All of us teachers and pupils need to wear traditional clothes that weren’t our culture. As for me, I wore Kurti, an Indian traditional clothing. It was my first time wearing it and I think that I would wear Kurti again on any other day. Mine was so pretty at an affordable price. I bought it online since the physical store seems to be a lot more expensive and pricey. On that day, I saw a lot of kids wearing many types of traditional clothes. When I was a kid, I never had a chance to wear like this, so it was exciting to see those cute faces wearing various types of traditional clothes.
