WEEK 10 (6TH NOVEMBER 2023 - 10TH NOVEMBER 2023)

 HELLO! HELLO!

On 6th November 2023, the school had a singing competition for Children’s Day. I didn’t record much. I only record a few of them. some of them were talented with singing. Some of them just do it for fun. By the way, this competition was only for Year 4, 5 and 6. I had so much fun enjoying their singing. There was this one contestant who got a broken hand but still performed energetically on the stage. Just…. WOW! Bandaged hand but he performed very well. I don’t know where he got the energy from.

On 7th November 2023, I entered 2 Alfa for Art Class as usual. I asked them to make a card for their friends, parents or teachers. Several of them made a card for me! I was so touched. They told me how much they loved me and even drew me. They were so adorable! I appreciate each one of them who gave me the card. I will keep the cards forever! Since this is my first time doing practicum, it will be the most memorable one for sure.

Next, on 8th November 2023, I was very nervous. Why? It was my observation day with my mentor! I already prepared learning materials like flashcards, notes, and worksheets. All praises to Allah, my observation went very well. 5 Sigma pupils helped me a lot with my observation marks. They were all well-behaved and listened to everything that I said. I gave them a small gift as gratitude. They were happy with my small gifts! Among all the other classes that I got on my first day, 5 Sigma made me nervous since the teacher already told me that this class was a bit naughty. I don’t know what to expect. But, turned out, they were naughty. YES! But also very helpful. I can’t thank them enough for helping me with my observation.

On 9th November 2023, we had a Children’s Day! It was the day that they had been waiting. All the pupils dressed up accordingly. They followed the retro theme. I only dressed up simply because I got nothing in my wardrobe at the moment. There were a lot of activities during the program. A clown came to the school and did a very amazing magic show. The performance from the pupils such as singing, dancing, talent show and many more. During this day, all the kids had so much fun from morning until afternoon. We, the practicum teachers also made a performance. It was “Aci Aci Buka Pintu” performance. The kids were all laughing during the performance. It was hilarious.

On 10th November 2023, we had a farewell party for the teachers who got transferred to another school. And that’s all about week 10!

  HELLO! HELLO! Welcome to my week 13! Which means I still have another week to survive from practicum! I am so excited to finish practicum but also sad at the same time because I need to leave these precious kids. WEEK 1 (4TH SEPTEMBER - 9TH SEPTEMBER)

 HELLO! HELLO! Assalamualaikum and hi everyone! My name is Balqis binti Zaiedi and this is my first entry of my practicum experience. After waiting so long for this day, the wait is finally has come to an end. I am supposed to start my practicum in August but due to some circumstances, my practicum has been delayed to 4 th September 2023. The first step is always the hardest. I was very nervous on the first day since I was not going to do my practicum with any of my friends or classmates. I walked into the office alone that morning feeling nervous and anxious. Since this is my first time going to a real school and teaching real kids, I have a lot of things going on in my mind. WEEK 3 (18TH SEPTEMBER - 23RD SEPTEMBER)

  HELLO! HELLO! Welcome to my third week of practicum! Huh, almost a month just in the blink of an eye. Many things happened in week 3. Very hectic and busy week for teachers and pupils. Let’s start with 18 th September. On this day, we had a closing ceremony for Independence Month. All of us teachers and pupils need to wear traditional clothes that weren’t our culture. As for me, I wore Kurti, an Indian traditional clothing. It was my first time wearing it and I think that I would wear Kurti again on any other day. Mine was so pretty at an affordable price. I bought it online since the physical store seems to be a lot more expensive and pricey. On that day, I saw a lot of kids wearing many types of traditional clothes. When I was a kid, I never had a chance to wear like this, so it was exciting to see those cute faces wearing various types of traditional clothes.
